Effects of the Imaginary Reality Therapy on Reduction of Depression, Fatigue and Disease Level in Normal People

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study is to investigate effects of ¡°Imaginary Reality Therapy Program¡± on reduction of depression, fatigue and disease level, and increasing in mood-state level in the 27 normal males and 58 normal females. After applying the program, self-rating depression scale (SDS), mood-state measuring, fatigue-state measuring, and disease- state measuring were done. There are significant decreases in depression levels by 19.6% (p<.05), in fatigue levels by 33.52% (p<.05), in disease levels by 25.77% (p<.05), and increase in mood state levels by 19.59% (p<.05). Based on the results, it can be concluded that Imaginary Reality Therapy decreases depression, fatigue, and disease states, and increase mood-state, therefore the therapy is demonstrated as an excellent natural therapy.
